COMMSOFT WRAPS 15TH ANNUAL USER CONFERENCE
THEME 'PLAYING HARDBALL WITH MULTI-SERVICE BILLING' EXTENDS BEYOND TRIPLE
PLAY
ALBANY, NY - CommSoft, a leading provider of billing software
to midsize communications companies, hosted customers and business partners
at its 15th annual User Group conference, at the Century House Inn in
Latham, NY. The event, held September 16-18, 2004 spanned three full days
and featured an agenda of case studies, workshops and product training
related to its theme of multi-service billing including, but not limited
to, the triple play of voice, video and data.
The conference commenced with general sessions hosted by CommSoft CEO,
Larry Davis; COO Jim Jackson; Director of Development, John Ganther and
VP of Sales, Gary Scott. Guest speakers provided case studies from IT,
operations, and sales and marketing perspectives. They included Judy Bruns,
President of Valley Telecom Group and Aaron Call, Marketing Manager of
Armstrong Group jointly presenting “Marketing Multiple Services:
Strategies for Success”; and Bill Pawlowski, IT Director of Arvig
Communications who presented “Triple Play: The Impact of Combined
Voice, Video & Data.”
Additional guest speakers included representatives of many CommSoft customers
and partners, including IBM, Valley Telecom Group, Arvig Communications,
Ketchikan Public Utilities, North Pittsburgh Telephone, Palmerton Telephone
and Dataprose.
In its customary survey of the event, 92% of all attendees rated the
event as either “very good” or “excellent” with
comments stating that this event was “one of CommSoft’s best.” Additional
feedback indicated that the greatest value received was in the form of
networking opportunities with peers, industry trending info, customer
case studies, and opportunities to meet CommSoft employees in person.
