CommSoft, a leading provider of BSS/OSS and service activation software, announced today that they have released Web Services, a method of communication allowing for other applications to easily integrate with data within iCommVergence, CommSoft’s flagship BSS/OSS solution.

Web services are designed to support machine-to-machine interaction over the network and allow different applications to talk to each other and share data and services among themselves.  Using industry-standard protocols, CommSoft is able to develop interfaces that allow for open, defined communication and requests that are self-contained and self-describing with the use of WSDLs.  This environment allows for other applications to easily integrate with iCommVergence data and business processes.

By using CommSoft’s web services, no longer will you need to worry about constantly changing or updating an interface. CommSoft’s web services package is a flexible approach to interfacing to 3rd party systems or creating and modifying your own EBPP solution without constant modification.

“To remain competitive and help our customers remain competitive, we needed to make our products work in conjunction with products of other vendors, so web services was a necessary addition to our suite of products,” said Craig Engle, CommSoft’s Manager of Development.”
