CommSoft, a leading provider of BSS/OSS and service activation software, announced today that Matanuska Telephone Association (MTA) has purchased CommBI, CommSoft’s flexible and scalable business intelligence and reporting tool that is integrated with the iCommVergence product, CommSoft’s flagship BSS/OSS solution.

MTA’s employees did not have an easy method to access and analyze data within their customer database as they were manually pulling this information into spreadsheets and reports.  With CommBI they now will be able to access any data that is available in their systems and display that information in dashboards that can be shared across the company.  They no longer will need to spend hours and days accessing and manipulating data to determine customer trends.  Using the CommBI collectors this information will be available on demand.

“All of this information and data was available to us, but we had no way of quickly and efficiently accessing it,” said Dan Monarch, Director of Information Technology at Matanuska Telephone Association.  “We were also looking for an easy way to see what products and services our customers were purchasing and where there may be trouble areas.  Using CommBI we can now easily gather this important information, target market to our customers, and see where we are having success on an hourly, daily, or monthly basis.”

While CommBI is fully integrated with CommSoft’s billing solutions, it is not limited to these systems.  CommBI can be easily integrated with MTA’s other systems, giving them one virtual metadatabase in which they can build dashboards, view trending, and get a total view of their entire business.
