CommSoft, a leading provider of BSS/OSS and service activation software, announced that Matanuska Telephone Association, Inc. (MTA) has selected CommSoft to provide Hosted Services for its high-availability/disaster recovery (HA/DR) server, and IBM Server Administration for both its production server and its HA/DR server.
Finding and keeping resources to administer its servers has been a continual challenge for MTA as qualified and certified technicians are a rare and expensive commodity in Alaska. MTA’s Information Technology department approached CommSoft looking for a solution that would allow MTA to lower its costs and exposure on the IBM platform. With CommSoft providing Hosted Services and IBM Server Administration for its production server and HA/DR server, MTA’s needs will be met.
“I would like to off-load the responsibility of an HA/DR server and not have to even know it exists unless or until we need it,” said Dan Monarch, Director of Information Technology at MTA. “CommSoft understands how its software runs on an IBM server better than we do and to have them host and administer the servers just makes sense.”
