COMMSOFT NAMES GARY SCOTT VP OF SALES AND MARKETING
ALBANY, NY - CommSoft, a leading provider of billing software
to midsize communications companies, announced today that Gary Scott has
assumed responsibility for the company’s sales and marketing efforts.
“Gary is recognized throughout the industry for his professionalism
and ability to build customer relationships while contributing to corporate
growth,” said Larry Davis, CommSoft’s founder and CEO. “We
could not be more delighted to have attracted such a seasoned, successful
individual to this key role.”
Scott has over 18 years of telecom experience. Prior to CommSoft he was
vice president of TMNG’s RLEC practice and has held senior positions
with Martin Group, CommTech (ADC), and NetCracker Technology.
Scott joins CommSoft as the company expands its focus to leverage its
20-year telephony billing history to include triple-play
providers of voice, video and data in cable markets as
well as telecom. CommSoft’s
billing and OSS solution addresses triple-play scenarios
particularly well by providing cross-product discounting,
automated provisioning, and
integrated financials and inventory - all from a single
database.
“I am excited about stepping up CommSoft’s efforts to leverage
a tried and true product like CommVergence to help providers compete and
gain market share through product bundling and packaging,” said
Gary Scott. “There is enormous potential here considering that the
product’s ability to enable cross-market penetration may well achieve
the same thing for CommSoft itself.”
