Ace Communications Selects CommSoft for Business Automation
High Efficiency Gains Expected from Integration & Automation of Network Operations

ALBANY, NY - CommSoft, a leading provider of activation, billing & OSS software, announced today that it has signed an agreement with Ace Communications Group to purchase process integration and automation solutions using CommSoft’s Connection (TC) product. The Connection will integrate numerous databases and network elements as it automates provisioning of Ace’s telephone, video, and internet services.

A current user of The Connection, this agreement expands Ace’s use of the product to provision vendor systems from Iowa Network Services, Innovative Systems, NextLevel, AFC, Martin Group, and Postini, as well as databases and systems developed internally. CommSoft solutions will allow Ace to activate video and pay-per-view services; activate ISP, DSL and spam-blocker services; set up voicemail and auto-attendant services; and automate PIC updates--all via automation in the service order process. The Connection product is capable of interfacing to a rapidly expanding list of over 110 vendor network elements.

The Connection solution also provides for auditing of discrepancies between billing databases and network elements in order to identify revenue leakages, and automatically report them for correction. This integrated system of checks and balances can be performed remotely and compounds the cost benefits and efficiencies inherent in automating manual processes

“We have set very clear goals for maximizing efficiency and streamlining operations,” said John Nitecki, Ace Communication Group’s Manager of Information Systems. “The Connection solutions go a long way in helping us achieve our objectives by attacking the problem from several angles to achieve accuracy, efficiency and accountability.”

“The Connection solutions are addressing a very real need in the industry,” said Gary Scott, VP of Sales and Marketing for CommSoft. “We are very excited to see progressive telecom business such as Ace Communications Group recognize the benefits and to help us identify new and expanding ways to automate business processes.”
