HORRY TELEPHONE COOPERATIVE CHOOSES
COMMSOFT’S AUTOMATION SOLUTIONS

ALBANY, NY – CommSoft, a leading provider of activation, billing & OSS software, announced today that it has signed an agreement with Horry Telephone Cooperative (HTC) to purchase automation solutions, including CommSoft’s The Connection? (TC), eSP and eSP Plus products.

The TC provisioning platform will automate the business processes and activation of HTC’s voice, video and next generation network elements. As part of the agreement, CommSoft and HTC will work jointly to tailor CommSoft’s web-based subscriber self-care system for ordering and provisioning to suit HTC specific needs.

“The web based interface is key for HTC”, says Brent Groome, Chief Executive of Customer Operations for HTC. “With the implementation of fiber to the home and our home integration initiatives, it is vital for us to be able to quickly deploy a customer friendly self-provisioning tool that allows customers to customize their services with HTC.”

All of this will provide HTC with an integrated system of checks and balances inherent in automating manual processes. In addition, the eSP products will put the power of self provisioning in the hands of their growing customer base to increase customer service efficiency.

“We looked at several different vendor options and found that CommSoft had the most comprehensive automation solution out there today. We were impressed with the satisfaction of their client base and the number of devices that they have provisioned for those customers” said Sid Blackwelder, Chief Executive of Information Operations for HTC “Efficiency is paramount to us and we know that the TC platform will help us to achieve the high customer service satisfaction levels we strive for.”

“CommSoft is very excited to provide HTC with a technology solution that will allow them to gain operational efficiencies through business process automation both internally and through self provisioning via the web. We are very pleased to have the opportunity to work with a progressive service provider like HTC.” said Gary Scott, Vice President of Sales and Marketing of CommSoft.
