VTC
ACTIVATE, AUTOMATE, AND ACCELERATE SERVICES AND REVENUE
Real-Time Service Activation of Video, Voice, Wireless, VoIP, and more with immediate revenue generation is the key to VTC. Modular in nature, this set of solutions provides broad capabilities across your network platform ranging from complex service activation to revenue assurance capabilities. VTC can run in a Windows, Linux, SCO, or Sun environment.
Seamless Flow-Through Provisioning When a CSR enters an order, VTC automatically executes appropriate network element instructions, activates subscribers services, updates the billing system and alerts that the service is ready to bill. Automating features, additions, deletions, disconnects, reconnects, and provisioning any number of services is done seamlessly. Integrated with your existing switch technology, VTC significantly reduces man-hours and processes for all service requests from CSR, Billing System, Technical Staff, Subscriber Web Care Portals, IVR, etc.
API-Driven, Future-Proof VTC allows providers to stay current, regardless of technology or service, through its intelligent APIs. Equipment independent and not relying on just one interface, VTC talks to and exchanges data between systems using a variety of schema, including Web Services, TCP/IP, ODBC, JDBC, or even plain old serial connections. Providers can mix and match technology in their environment, selecting new devices and technology as needed and keeping existing technology in place, all using the VTC activation platform. A library of over 100 different network element, switch, router, and database templates is available to accelerate implementations.
Rules-Driven, Flexible Scripting Rules executed with flexible scripting allow VTC to handle virtually any process or requirement. Graphical in nature, these scripts can be used to test for conditions, order processes to occur in a specific order, or change that order based on a certain set of conditions. Multiple attempts and alternate routes can be executed on a failed condition avoiding technician time to trouble shoot a problem. Rules can be based on type of order, a particular service, or even to check the time of day, or an external database for information required for completion.
Service Order Automation VTC will update the central office switch, the billing/service order system, and other Operational Support Systems directly and automatically, typically within seconds of order placement. Orders are collected from the billing & service order system and the required data is extracted. The processes will check for orders, log into the switch, and send appropriate commands based on order type. Other systems can be updated such as LNP, LIDB, and 911 databases.
Service Order Revenue Assurance VTC directly collects information from the switch, or other network element(s), and the billing system, compares the two, and reports any line element discrepancies. VTC queries the switch and compares all elements to the billing system to make a comparison to identify errors. This method ensures all under-billing is captured. Assurance can be configured to run based on day-of-week, time-of-day, exchange range, and number range.
